Washer drum does not rotate.
Replace belt on a washing machine.
A frequent malfunction of washing machines is a torn belt or its insufficient tension.
Usually, the washing machine gets the filled with water, heats, but the drum does
not rotate. Changing a cycle on the washing machine does not help. At the rinse
cycle, water is discharged, but the drum does not spin. To all signs the washing
machine is serviceable and tries to switch cycles, makes noise, but drum rotation
does not occur.
To begin, check to see whether the drum is loose. If yes, most likely it is a torn
belt. However, it may not only be the belt. Causes of failure can be more serious,
for example, the problem can be in the electronic circuits which are ensuring functioning
of the electric motor. If so, then you should consult with a professional. If a
washing machine is not under warranty service, it is possible to look independently
for a repair person.
If the belt is really loose, it is possible to try to replace it again in its place.
You will need to place the belt on a motor pulley, then, scrolling a drum pulley,
to pull a belt. It is necessary to consider that the old belt can fall again and
probably this belt will need to be replaced.
